August 2017 - The Deuce of August
The Gudmundson Family sold chances in the form of playing cards for two
Yeti Tundra 50 Coolers with accessories : lock, ice pack and tumbler!
The cards sold like hot cakes fresh from the oven - and the winners were announced at the annual Deuce of August celebration.
Congratulations to Ruth Jelinek and Sheila Hannesson who won these fabulous packages!
The Heuchert Family held a lemonade stand with treats on Saturday following the parade, and had SO MANY goodies we had to carry over during the tractor pull on Sunday!
Also during the tractor pull we did a 50/50 cash raffle, selling over 2,300 tickets!
It was a lovely day to raise some money for our project, but I am making a mental note to wear proper shoes for next year!
After tallying up all of the proceeds from the weekend, we are officially
OVER the halfway point to our fundraising goal!
We are humbled and in awe of what our small community has been able to accomplish during the last year. Thank you for all of your support!
